Teresa Lawton graduated from Winchester in 1994 with a fine art degree Teresa Lawton has been successfully exhibiting ever since. She has had paintings exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on several occasions and has exhibited at the highly regarded Belgrave Gallery, St Ives and Cadogan Contemporary, Kensington. She has shown at the Singapore and New York Art Fairs and has been represented at the major London Art Fairs since 1995 by Gordon Hepworth Fine Art since his retirement and Lena Boyle Fine Art. In 1997 she had two of her paintings selected by HRH the Prince of Wales for the Discerning Eye Exhibition in London.
Born in Dorset, Teresa spent most of the 70’s in London before living in Greece for a time, returning to Dorset in the 80’s to bring up her son. She also travelled around Argentina in the 90’s with artist Padraig MacMiadhachain. She had spent much time in Cornwall through her developing years as a painter. The mid 20th century St Ives artists have always been a great inspiration in her work and she has remained true to that influence throughout her career.
Her work is in private collections from Beijing to New York.
Collectors include Award winning Singers, Songwriters, Playwrights, Actors and Designers, the Chief Executive of Christie's, the Chairman of Phillips Auction House London/New York and the Editor of Studio International New York.
