Nneka Uzoigwe is a figurative artist based in London. She trained in the classic atelier method at London Fine Art Studios, where she now teaches part-time. During her time studying she also received the De Laszlo Foundation Scholarship consecutively 2016-2017 to continue her studies.
In 2019 she was selected as a finalist for the Royal British Artists Rome Scholarship and took part in their Rising Stars Exhibition.

'The underlying theme of my paintings is capturing moments of stillness drawing from sentimentality and often with the use of hidden symbolism. Even a mundane object can hold a hidden meaning. I always work from life and push to develop the narrative of my imagination from the world around me.'
